Huge progress! (But not yet success)

Friday I spoke on the telephone (!) to a lovely woman with the impressive title of “Escalations Manager.” She apologized profusely and gave me what sounded like the straight dope:

Here’s the news – it’s a bug not related to my having sent too many invites or too many invites that were rejected (as many of my contacts hypothesized). It was a bug triggered when the person who originally invited me “abruptly removed” his profile, somehow invalidating me. They’re fixing it, claim it will be done Monday, updates to follow then.
